V-Line Top Opening Quick Access Security Storage Box

BASIC OVERVIEW

V-Line quick access security Storage Box

If you are looking for a security safe that is made in USA then you don’t need to look any further than the V-Line brand.

All their safes are real American designs and provide security solutions for homes, offices, RV’s, boats and other vehicles. Their products are quality made, which leads us to this top draw locking V-Line safe.

Technically it is classed as a tactical safe which basically means it is designed to hold handguns/pistols; however that does not mean you cannot store other items too.

I have found that many tactical style safes tend to provide that much more security and peace of mind. They seem to be stronger built and offer more security features for the owner. For this reason, these are also really great choices for people who want a tough home safe but are not interested in storing any guns.

So here we have a very simple looking safe that does what it is supposed to and nothing more.  It has a top opening lid which is locked and unlocked via an easy to use programmable push button locking mechanism.

The lid itself is quite interesting because the metal top also reaches down the sides of the safe. Sort of like a clamshell design. This is most likely to prevent any prying attempts when digging a crowbar or screwdriver into the seams of a lid. If the lid stretches down the side of the whole safe then that makes prying very difficult for any thief.

This V-Line quick access security case is a perfect size for hiding away. It can be placed into any drawers including desk drawers and it can also be hidden under a bed or even in a closet somewhere.

It has a large enough interior to store anything from a full-sized pistol to other small items including spare magazines, a flashlight, jewelry, cash, passports and much more.

It does have a foam bottom liner which is pretty thin but is mostly there to protect your valuables from any scratches as well as soak up any internal moisture which may be caused through condensation if the safe is kept closed for long periods of time.

This is a high quality home safe, and as such, you will pay a higher price but there is a big selling point that will make it worth the extra cash.

That extra feature is the V-Line brand Simplex lock. This is a mechanical lock that just works; it requires no batteries.

A small mechanical safe that can work flawlessly without the use of any kind of battery or electronic power is a major plus. This means that there is less chance of anything electrical or digital going wrong because the whole mechanism is mechanical.

The amazing thing is that it can still function as a quick access safe; this feature is not just a common feature for digital safes. The door release uses a simple five push button mechanical lock that is super easy to operate. You can preset your own PIN code in just a few seconds. Changing the factory preset combination to one of your choosing is straight-forward and very easy to do.

The outer casing is made of sturdy 16 gauge solid steel, which is better than most similar sized safes in this category. It is also textured with a semi-black powder coated finish to make it smooth and stylish looking.

This top opening drawer safe has a stainless steel face-plate to deter a full on hammer attack and for additional security it comes with pre-drilled holes in the bottom and can be secured on top of most surfaces with bolts.

Overall this is a great investment not only for gun owners but also for anyone interested in a small safe that can provide the best security for their valuables.
